The RRVT bridge on the North Raccoon River is closed indefinitely due to flood damage that occurred on March 15. A 70 foot section of the 600 foot railroad bridge collapsed and will need replacing. An engineering firm has been hired to determine design, cost estimates and time frames involved. At this time we are unable to answer these questions. The bridge is located ten miles north of Herndon or five miles north of Cooper. For more information contact Dan Towers at 515-386-5674.
