As the Raccoon River Valley Trail nears the completion of the new “north loop,” KCCI-TV’s Eric Hanson and Cortney Kintzer visited the trail towns of Herndon and Jamaica for a story the station aired on its Monday, April 8, evening newscast. We’ve got a link to the TV story right here.

Wow! Big construction equipment is now rolling in little Herndon and Jamaica, meaning the last pieces of the new north loop of the Raccoon River Valley Trail will be completed in weeks. And as soon as the new stretch of trail is open, there are going to be more tourists pedaling into these towns than they’ve ever had there before! It’s an exciting time for trail users and for our trail towns in west central Iowa.
