"WE'VE GOT SOME MAJOR ISSUES"

Heavy thunderstorms and high winds Sunday night, Aug. 31, have had conservation workers scrambling to clean up the Raccoon River Valley Trail in all three counties.  Most extensive tree damage was in northern Guthrie County, including crushed railings on the bridge over Greenbrier Creek just south of the county line. Trail is temporarily closed from Herndon north to that border.
