Work is completed now on removing trees & brush lodged against North Raccoon River bridge between Perry and Dawson. So that portion of the Raccoon River Valley Trail is again open and available.

PERRY, Iowa, August 3, 2011 — Work is now completed on removing  trees and brush that had come down the North Raccoon River and lodged against the pilings of the Raccoon River Valley Trail bridge between Perry and Dawson.

There were some disruptions in trail availability there the last week of July and first few days of this month, but those disruptions have now ended.
