When you’re the president of the Raccoon River Valley Trail Association, as Carla Offenburger is, and when you encounter a weed growing up through the pavement on the RRVT, as Carla recently did near her town of Cooper, well, you stop and pull it! Actually, the trail is in great shape as we end July and start August. Vegetation along the trail is lush, with berries and wildflowers particularly thick this year with the timely rains the area has received.
