Trail talk in Jefferson: Carla and Steve Haupert (left), of Jefferson, who are both frequent users of the Raccoon River Valley Trail, talk to Kevin Wilbeck, of Rippey, a member of the board of directors of the RRVT Association, at the “Spring Into Greene” outdoor show held Saturday, March 19, in Jefferson. The trail group had a display at the event, which was held at the Greene County Community Center, and board members fielded lots of questions about the new North Loop under construction on the RRVT. That loop is scheduled for completion in 2012. The link from Dawson through Perry is done now, and the link from Dallas Center to Waukee is scheduled for completion this spring or summer.
