Saturday, April 2, was a nearly perfect day for a ride on the Raccoon River Valley Trail, with bright sunshine, temperatures in the low 60s and a light wind. This couple was photographed as they rode west from the trailhead at the northwest corner of Waukee. (If you recognize them, let us know their names and we’ll identify them here in a revised caption.) With the good weather, there was good usage of all 64 completed miles of the trail – from Waukee all the way to Jefferson as well as on the eight miles of new trail from Dawson through Perry.
