Here’s the brand new Raccoon River Valley Trail jersey, being modeled by cartoonist and avid bicyclist Brian Duffy, of West Des Moines, who also did the drawing that is featured on the front of the shirt. The jerseys are made by the Louis Garneau company, headquartered in Newport, Vermont, and St.-Augustin-de-Desmaures Quebec, Canada, and are regarded by most cyclists as top-of-the-line. Look close and you will see that Duffy’s drawing features a smiling raccoon watching over the trail from a tree branch, as well as a red-winged blackbird that is on guard. On the back is a full map of the Raccoon River Valley Trail, and three pockets, each with the name of one of our three counties – Greene, Guthrie and Dallas. The jerseys are now available for sale in the RRVT Store on the right side of this Internet site. You can also read more about them and see more photos of Duffy wearing his, below here in one of our Top Stories.
