Water main installation from Waukee east means construction near the Raccoon River Valley Trail, but the trail won’t be blocked

WAUKEE, Iowa, May 19, 2008 – Construction work is scheduled adjacent to the Raccoon River Valley Trail here from now through August 1, although the trail will not be blocked and use of it should not be hindered.

The project by Xenia Rural Water District includes installation of a water main from Waukee east to 156th Street in Clive.  The company reported that “the trail will not be disturbed and there will be no obstructions on the path, however heavy equipment will be operated near the path,” so “caution should be used when in the vicinity.”
