First-ever RRVT Association membership banquet is set for Saturday, February 23, at The Port in Panora
PANORA, Iowa, December 11, 2007 – The board of directors of the Raccoon River Valley Trail Association has set the date for the first-ever banquet for association members — the evening of Saturday, February 23, at The Port restaurant on Lake Panorama here.
“We feel like we want to bring our members all together once a year to celebrate what we’ve accomplished in the past year and talk about what we plan to do in the coming year,” said RRVT Association President Carla Offenburger, of Cooper. “Besides, if we get together in February and start talking about trail events and projects, it’ll make spring get here faster so we can all get back out on it!”
New videos of the RRVT will be shown, new projects enhancing the trail will be announced and there will likely be an opportunity to bid on excellent trail-related merchandise and accommodations.
Full details of the membership banquet will be announced right after January 1, and reservations will then be accepted.
In the meantime, RRVT members can get the date on their 2008 calendars — Saturday, February 23, at The Port.
